We hear from a lot of attractive
couples who have a camcorder and would like to sell their amateur adult
videos. And while they have the looks and the talent and the equipment, most
don't have a way to sell their tapes, no "distribution channel" as it's
called in the business. And that's why we've created the Amateur
Marketplace Program. With the Amateur Marketplace Program, you don't need a website or a distributor to make money with your homemade movies. You simply shoot the footage, provide us with the master tapes and we do the rest. We'll take care of editing. We'll take care of making a VHS master tape. We'll author a DVD master. And perhaps most importantly, we'll take care of the record keeping, so that you don't have to list your home address on the video as the law would require if you were selling them directly. Obviously, providing an online store where people can buy your videos has costs on our end. Likewise for video editing, authoring, tape and DVD duplicating, labeling and shipping. And if we don't cover those costs - and make a reasonable profit - then we can't continue to provide the service. So here's how our revenue program works: For every tape or DVD that we sell of your videos, we'll pay you $8.00. If you sell 20 in a month, that's $160.00. If you sell 100, obviously, that's $800.00. How many you sell depends on the quality of the action, the appearance of the people, the lighting and video quality, and the overall nature of the video. Very, very few sell 100 a month. Most sell in the neighborhood of 15 - 50, and tend to sell fewer when they are no longer "new" videos at the store. What sells best? Hardcore action. Tease or dance videos hardly sell at all. And solo female videos - which used to sell well - don't do well either, since there are just too many of them out there. But good hardcore sex action - straight sex, oral sex, anal sex, facials, etc. - that's what our customers respond to. Obviously, we want to uphold our reputation with our customers for high quality and great action. And for that reason, we can't guarantee that we'll accept your video(s) for sale at our store. But if you've got hot videos - let's be honest, videos that guys will want to jerk off to! - then we might just be a perfect match. The Trust Factor: Unfortunately, the adult business, and especially the adult internet, is full of sleazy operators who can't be trusted. And you'll have to feel comfortable trusting us in order for our business relationship to work. But I will tell you that we've been on the web since 1997, have operated our three online amateur adult video stores since 1999, and we haven't stayed on top by screwing people - not our customers or our producers. Our reputation is the most valuable business asset we have and we guard it carefully. |
So how will you get paid?
Every month on the 3rd of the month, we'll send you a sales report with the
zip code of everyone who bought one of your videos, plus a check for the
total number of tapes times $8 each. And if you ever want to verify our
honesty, have one of your friends order a video, then see if their zip code
appears on your sales report. We'd never know you were doing it, so it's a
great way for you to see our integrity in action. So where do we begin? Easy enough. Send your ORIGINAL raw video footage right out of your camcorder (no copies) to the address below. Please do NOT edit the footage, since we prefer to do that on our end. We'll review your video and will contact you within 48 hours to let you know if we can use your material. If we can, we'll need two forms of positive ID from anyone who appears in the video, plus model releases (which we will provide), plus a signed distribution agreement (which we will also provide). Once we have your paperwork, we'll have your footage edited, mastered for VHS and authored for DVD within 7-10 days. At that time, it goes on sale and starts making you money. We must have AT LEAST 80 minutes of footage for any video. That doesn't need to be all one scene - just a total of at least 80 minutes of footage altogether. Anything less just doesn't sell well, particularly after editing which reduces its length. My own dick notwithstanding, longer is always better! Is this a get-rich-quick scheme? Absolutely not! Some videos do very well. Others don't. And often even we're surprised by which is which. And generally, videos sell best when they're new and sales taper off as they get older. Which is a good reason to make new tapes on a regular basis. But if you're convinced that you've got great amateur footage, then we're happy to partner with you to sell it. Once you finish shooting, your work is done - unless you want to make more videos. And obviously, the more you have for sale in the Amateur Marketplace, the more you're likely to make.
